Singapore based online broker Do0 Group announced that multiple entities under its Do0 Financial brand have successfully obtained new licenses from the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission (BVIFSC) and the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA)
Doo Financial Fund Management (BVl) Limited (DF BVI) has obtained approval from BVIFSC to act as an investment advisor or manager for private funds, professional funds, or closed-end funds, in accordance with Section 9 of the Investment Business (Approval of Investment Managers) Regulations 2012. Meanwhile, Doo Selected SPC Fund, a subsidiary of Doo Financial, has also obtained a public fund license issued by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.
The acquisition of the above new licenses will enable Doo Financial's various entities to expand their service scope, provide more flexible fund management solutions, and seize investment opportunities in the global market. A spokesperson for Do0 Financial said, 'We are excited about this new opportunity, which will open up more possibilities for our clients and allow us to manage public funds under CIMA's supervision.'.
Doo Group operates multiple online trading brands, including Do0 Prime, Doo Clearing, and Do0 Financial, and is controlled by Chinese national Junjie Chen. The company has obtained multiple licenses from global regulatory agencies such as the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), and the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).
