(fxcue news) - The manufacturing sector in Thailand was stagnant in October, the latest survey from S&P Global showed on Friday with a manufacturing PMI score of 50.0.
That's down from 50.4 in September and it now sits right on the line that separates expansion from contraction.
The PMI had positive contributions from output and employment. These were offset by negative impacts from new orders, suppliers' delivery times and stocks of purchases.
The volume of new orders fell for the first time in four months in October, although the rate of contraction was only marginal. This led to the slowest rise in output of the current six-month period of expansion.
