New Zealand Has NZ$437 Million Trade Shortfall In November

(fxcue news) - New Zealand posted a merchandise trade deficit of NZ$437 million in November, Statistics New Zealand said on Friday.
That was far better than forecasts for a shortfall of NZ$1.951 billion following the NZ$1.658 billion deficit in October.
Exports jumped 9.1 percent on year to NZ$6.48 billion, up from NZ$5.61 billion in the previous month.
Imports slumped an annual 3.9 percent to NZ$6.92 billion, down from NZ$7.27 billion a month earlier.
Annual goods exports were valued at NZ$70.1 billion, up NZ$783 million from the previous year. Annual goods imports were valued at NZ$78.3 billion, down NZ$4.9 billion from the previous year. The annual trade deficit was NZ$8.2 billion.
