(fxcue news) - Final demand producer prices in Australia were up 0.8 percent on quarter in the fourth quarter of 2024, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Friday.
That was shy of expectations for 1.0 percent and down from 0.9 percent in the third quarter.
The main contributors to quarterly growth in Final demand were property operators (+1.5 percent) and accommodations (+8.3 percent), which were offset by a 6.3 percent drop in petroleum refining and manufacturing prices.
On a yearly basis, producer prices climbed 3.7 percent - easing from 3.9 percent in the three months prior.
