Vietnam Manufacturing Sector Ebbs In November - S&P Global

(fxcue news) - The manufacturing sector in Vietnam continued to expand in November, albeit at a slower pace, the latest survey from S&P Global revealed on Monday with a manufacturing PMI score of 50.8. That's down from 51.2 in October, although it remains above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction. In line with the picture for overall business conditions, manufacturing output increased for the second month running, but at a slower pace than in October. Some firms raised production in response to higher new orders, but others reported that demand was relatively muted, leading to the slowdown in growth. Although total new orders increased amid signs of improving demand and the securing of new customers, weakness in international demand undermined overall growth.
